It’s the second day of the European Regional Qualifiers (UEO) and the community immediately changed its direction to the first round of the Lower Bracket. Viewers were eager to watch the series between Galaxy Nigma and Bramed as the losing team would be eliminated from qualifying, ending their hope of attending The International 2022 (TI11). Although Brame showed glimpses of hope as they took Nigma Galaxy to a third game, the latter would eventually claim the final laugh as he beat Brame 2-1.
After their victory, Nigma Galaxy will live to see another day in the Regional Qualifiers and face DGG Esports tomorrow in another elimination match.
Nigma Galaxy vs. Brame: Match Recap
Despite yesterday’s shocking loss to goonsquad, the community still expected the experience on Nigma Galaxy to help them progress through the Lower Bracket.
The first game saw Nigma Galaxy drafting Faceless Void, Death Prophet, and Ivan “Thought Control” Ivanov’s iconic hero, the prophet of nature. On the opposing side, Brame picked up Pudge, Shadow Fiend and Pugna for his draft of the match. The start of the game was relatively calm for the first ten minutes. However, Brame was the better team because Nigma Galaxy’s draft is more late-game oriented, meaning they can’t hold back mid-game aggression. However, Nigma Galaxy managed to persevere long enough to get Amer “Miracle-“ Faceless Void and Al-Barkawi’s Syed “SumaiL” Hassan’s items online for crucial team fights. The match ended at 41 minutes, as Nigma Galaxy won the first best-of-three match.
Game 2 of the series saw Brame pick up Clinkz, Viper, and Batrider. On the other side, Nigma Galaxy opted for Juggernaut and Doom while keeping SumaiL’s Death Prophet. While the early game went well for Nigma Galaxy, Brame’s Clinkz dealt a lot of damage in teamfights. Despite Nigma Galaxy’s attempts to stall the game, Brame ended up forcing a game three as they claimed Nigma Galaxy’s Ancient at 45 minutes, ending the game.
With no room for error, both teams wrote aggressive lineups to give themselves the best chance of winning. Nigma Galaxy decided to trust Death Prophet again, while landing a surprising five Alchemist position for Kuro “Kuroky” Takhasomi. Brame, on the other hand, decided to once again place his hopes in the Clinkz.
Game 3 saw Nigma Galaxy totally dominate the map for the entire game, as Miracle-Sniper constantly decimated Brame with his insane damage from afar. Despite Brame’s best efforts to try to defend his base, the amount of damage caused by the Sniper was overwhelming. Miracle – secured victory for his team with a rampage in the enemy fountain to advance to the next round of qualifying.
After the series, Nigma Galaxy will advance to the second round of the Lower Bracket where they will face DGG Esports. Brame, on the other hand, can no longer qualify for TI11 as he was knocked out of qualifying.
