Archon mods are one of the new additions to Warframe in the Veilbreaker update. They promise to shake up the upgrade system and move some established mods. Archon mods are a new take on five of the most popular mods, working as an alternative to the Primed, Umbral, or even normal versions of these mods.
The main distinguishing feature of Archon Mods is that they interact with abilities. Archon Continuity, for example, applies a corrosive proc whenever an ability causes a toxin status effect, while Archon Flow increases the chance an enemy will drop an energy orb if they die from damage from cold.
In addition to these effects, Archon Flow and Continuity will grant stat bonuses similar to the Primed versions of these mods, but with a higher mod cost. Each Archon mod costs 16 energy, although they have their own polarities, which helps offset their high cost and even smooths out the difference between Archon and Primed versions of some mods.
They also have the same polarities as their base versions, allowing players to swap them out without much effort.
There are five Archon mods in Warframe:
- Archon continuity (Madurai/V polarity)
- Archon Stretch (Naramon/Dash Polarity)
- Archon Intensification (Madurai/V polarity)
- Archon Flow (Naramon/Dash Polarity)
- Vitality Archon (Vazarin/D polarity)
Obtaining these Archon mods requires you to work in weekly Kahl-175 missions and rank up with Kahl’s Garrison Syndicate, if you don’t want to shell out Platinum, that is. Here’s how you can add them to your collection.
How to get Archon Mods in Warframe
Archon mods are obtained by using Stock at Chipper, the new supplier of Kahl’s Garrison Syndicate. Players can earn stock by completing bonus objectives in Kahl’s weekly missions, whether it’s breaking enemies’ Narmer Veils, finding collectibles throughout the mission, or even completing a mission without dying. Each bonus objective earns you an amount of Stock, which you can trade with Chipper for available Archon mods.
In addition to 40 Stock, purchasing Archon mods from Chipper requires Fort rank with the Syndicate, so expect to do some work before you can purchase Archon mods from the vendor.
If you’re not looking to grind Kahl’s Garrison or just want a faster way to get Archon Mods, you can also trade with other players, although the price of Archon Mods can fluctuate.
If you have the Platinum to spare, this will probably be the fastest (and most expensive) way to get your hands on some Archon mods. Chipper is located on Kahl Garrison, on the right side of the hut-like structure where Kahl-175 is also located.
