Choke claws work great in cold weather and still allow 2 finger braking. I would prefer 12 volt, but will go with self contained battery pack for each providing there is good continous use time without dying out.
They also last longer with the leather palmes.

Here’s the solution to any liner glove need. Best solution i came up with so far is i'll wear 3 finger mitts on the cold trail ride in and out. I’ve found a few work gloves that are great though.

Also, they absorb the heat from the hand grips fast, so your constantly on and off with the heaters (so that your hands don't sweat in the gloves). I take two pairs with me, by end of day digging sleds out the fingers get wet on the outside and want freeze hard. Then once we get to the play areas off trail, i will switch to a pair of thinner motorfist or outdoor adventure gloves. 100% waterproof and warm to around zero degrees.

Carhartt waterproof insulated glove see more reviews. I use a thin pair of goretex snowmobile gloves, only prob is that when they are wet they stay cold. I am renting a machine up there.
They are all around $20 or less, super durable, and out perform any “ice fishing gloves” i’ve ever had. I prefer to wear gloves but keep a set of these on my sled for those extreme cold days i have let people that i ride with use them when their hands got cold and they go out and get a pair. Thin, stretchy merino wool liner gloves are fast drying, wicking, and skin. Just my opion but the klim summit or togwotee are the warmest and usser friendly.
